Qlue Tabs - Demo

Below is the Qlue Tabs page working in 3 different Qlue Tabs modules. Each module uses a different layout and each one of these layouts are available in the Pro! version of Qlue Tabs. Layout 1 and the Normal Design are available in the Free version of Qlue Tabs. Use the controls by each of the different layouts to change their designs.

Layout 1 (Normal)

If you need to display lots of information on a page and don't want to make users scroll down the page, use Qlue Joomla Tabs. Our Joomla Module will display any articles within a category in a fully customizable Joomla Tab Module. Simple to use from installation, select a category and click Save. Load your Joomla website up and you new Joomla tab module will appear. Edit the settings and change the style right from the back end without having to edit any CSS code. Make Qlue Joomla Tabs look good on any of your websites!

How to set up Qlue Tabs

This is a step by step guide, designed to help you install the Qlue Tabs to your Joomla Website. Upon completing this Tutorial you will be able to Install, Setup and Modify the Extension to work just the way you want.

Install!

Before we can do anything else, you will need to install this Extension to your Joomla website. If you have not done this before, Click Here and follow the instructions on how to install a Joomla Extension to your website. Once the Extension has been installed, you may continue with the next part of the Tutorial.

Setup!

Now that we have the Extension installed, we can begin using it. Follow the instruction below carefully, to add the Qlue Tabs module to your website. This tutorial will go through setting up the Parameters for Qlue Tabs. This section will be split into two parts. The first part will be a Quick Setup guide, to demonstrate how to setup the default values for Qlue Tabs and get the module to display on the page. The second part will be an guide to show you how to alter some of the advanced settings to get Qlue Tabs working exactly the way you want it to.

Basic...

Once the component is installed and you have given it some default Joomla settings; like the name, position and what pages it appears on, you can follow the instructions below to set up Qlue Tabs.

  • Select the category of articles that you wish to display in the tab module
  • Select the order in which you would like those articles to be displayed in (Article Order, Alphabetical)
  • Specify the number of tabs you wish to show. If you have lots of articles in a category you can use this to limit the amount that are displayed as tabs
  • Specify whether you wish to show the Read More button for that article or not. OFF by default.

For this tutorial, the Qlue Tab module below has had some styling added to it, so that it would display properly on the page. The default settings however that we chose, by following this tutorial were, Article Order, 3, OFF of course we also supplied a category otherwise the module would not display anything.

All Done!

How do I change the number of Tabs being shown?

Locate the option 'Number of Tabs' in the module back-end and then alter the number from the one currently set, to the number of tabs that you wish to display. E.g - If you want 2 tabs and 5 are currently set, then change the 5 to a 2 and click 'Apply' or 'Save'.
