Qlue Joomla Custom 404 not working - what have I done?
If you see the standard, ugly Joomla 404 error you may need to enable the Qlue Joomla Custom 404 plugin in Extensions Manager -> Plugins. This should be enabled automically when first installed but it may have been disabled.
Can I load modules in the error page?
Yes, it is possible to load modules through this error page but only within the content using
{ loadposition xx }
If you need more help about setting about a load position, click here
Also check that the module is assigned to all pages.
Qlue Custom 404 is reverting to the default theme on my template?
The custom 404 component will load your default theme for an error page. The reason is because you can only assign different styles/ templates by selecting a menu item for this to be applied. An error page does not have a specific menu item. If you want to change a theme for your error page you need to make sure that the theme is assigned to "All" pages and do not just toggle all menu items.
I just see the homepage instead of the custom error page.
For Qlue custom 404 to work correctly you must have SEF urls enabled on your site. If SEF urls are disabled on your site and you go to an invalid url like: http://www.example.com/some-error-page, Joomla! will just display the home page instead of producing an error.
Can I include pictures on the 404 error page?
You can customize your error page just as if you were customising an article. You can use your own editor and insert pictures, links.
